& that's the way life goes

Ok so I lied in my last post, he doesn’t forget about the things he tells me he just stops talking about them.  I sent C a text today saying he’d have a surprise after all.  While I was at lunch we were chatting on the phone:

C: I think I’m going to order a surfing video

me (eyes wide): oh yeah (calmly) which ones?

C: riding giants, laird hamilton…

me (laughing hysterically silently trying to pull myself together): (hits end button on cell phone)

I giggled out loud and tried to redial him on my phone, but he called me back first.

me: hello? my phone lost it’s signal (big fat liar!)

C: Oh, I thought you hunged up on me.

me: no why would I do that?

I think I averted the situation.  Man, 4 more days of this.  I don’t know if I can handle it!
