One thing about me is that I have never spent over $30 on jeans or anything really. I’m kind of cheap. I mean I would love to but I don’t have the extra cash for splurging. So while I was at Macy’s today I was trying on jeans. Sticking to the ones that were on clearance or $34 (ok so I’d spend $34, but that’s pushing it). But I tried on a pair of Silver jeans just to try them on and pretend I’d buy them (you do that too right?). They were perfect, so I took a peak at the price tag…$68. But the more I turned and looked at myself in the mirror I told myself that I deserved to have a nice pair of jeans! So I looked around some more but didn’t see any worth trying on and decided to pay. The lady at the register told me if I used my card I’d get 15% off and I was like “Bonus!” and then she rang the jeans up! They were $36!!!!! And with the 15% off they ended up being $28.90!

Things have been really rough for me lately so I can’t tell you how ECSTATIC I was! It totally made my day. I love productive shopping trips!

Just like shoes I go in spurts with shopping. Tonight C and I went together, something we don’t often do. He promised to buy me the rest of my anniversary gift so first stop was Victoria’s Secret. No notfor the frilly lingerie, silly, the more practical undergarment. Hehe. We found a huge clearance sale at PacSun and then off to Kohls for a couple t-shirts I needed. So here is the final count of our shopping spree. C’s clothes aren’t involved since he had to try them on (AGAIN) and couldn’t wait. Geesh.

Summary:

Victoria’s Secret:

• Ipex bra on sale 25% off

PacSun:

• C got 1 pair of shorts & 1 pair of board shorts
• I got 2 sundresses and 1 pair of comfy pants
• All 50% off clearance prices

Kohl’s:

• C got 1 Norelco shaver (the bulk of final price), t-shirt
• I got 2 pairs of bermuda shorts, 2 pairs capris, 1 tanktop (all on clearance) & 2 t-shirts (buy one get one free)
• total -$10 kohls cash – 15% = fucking awesome price

I love Love LOVE sales and clearance. I hardly ever buy anything full price.

Take that FUCKING IRS WHO IS “GOING TO CALL ME WITHIN 30 DAYS” to figure out what went wrong with my tax refund check and consequently my stimulus check. It’s your fault I spent money! All the irritation led me to my shopping addiction. Gah!

I was on hold for 20 minutes waiting for a customer service rep when the automated voice told me there was technically difficulty and politely hung up on my ass. YEAH. I called back and spent another 20 minutes on hold, finally got thru, talked to someone for a good half hour, to be told they would have to look into and someone would contact me. Yeah, cuz that’s going to happen.

Have you ever had problems with your tax refund?

C isn’t great at surprises.  It’s not because he doesn’t think of good gifts, he does, but he doesn’t like going to the mall himself and he can’t help but tell me when he’s excited about something.  I think it’s cute.

He told me that for our anniversary he’s going to buy me shoes and a bra from Victoria’s Secret.  Here’s the thing about shoes, I rarely buy any.  I think the last pair I bought were over a year ago.  But when I buy shoes I buy 3-4 pairs at a time.  (I know if you’ve been reading this blog daily that I did have new shoes I posted a little bit ago, but those were a Christmas gift.)

So without further ado, here are my new lovelies from C for our anniversary.

Can you believe the prices?  The converse were $25 and the BUM Equipment were $10 but 1/2 off and the Naturalizers were on sale for $36!  I love sales!

And while we are on the subject of shopping I was so excited I finally got to wear the capris I bought in Hanalei in December.  I love them because I’m sure no one has a pair like them around here.  I usually don’t think about that stuff but I’m really excited about these   They are full of zippers and they sit lower than my usual capris so they are really comfy.

I wouldn’t say that red is my favorite color, but I do wear it a lot and I like to accessorize with it.  That’s my red purse…(duh)

It went with me today while I shopped at H&M and Target.  Yea!  New clothes!
