How do you find a holiday party?  Neither C or I work for a company that has holiday parties, which is sad because sometimes I want to get dressed up and pretty.  I hardly ever wear dresses and I’d like to, I just don’t have an occasion.

Yesterday was awesome. Coming home from tae kwon do I had 2 packages to open. My painting came that I ordered from Sewqueen Designs.  It’s just as beautiful in person as it was in the picture.  I’m so excited and can’t wait to hang it.

If you look closely you’ll see that she even included a free pair of earrings.  I just ordered the painting on Saturday and it was here by Wednesday.  So awesome!

The next package was my free Hot Lips lip gloss by Zoya.  (thank you Julie for tweeting about the discount code!) I wasn’t really sure what to expect but I figured since I only had to pay shipping I would try it.  I don’t know what it means exactly but the lip gloss is vegan friendly.  It smells wonderful and I like the way it feels on my lips.  There are so many colors to choose from!

I ordered snowsicle, meow and heatwave (for fun because it was so bright).   I really want to try their nail polish now

I’ve been an etsy shopping fool lately.  I got my prints for rdsign88 today.  They came all the way from Indonesia.  The night I ordered them I wasn’t planning on buying anything.  I think I started off looking for a purse but when I saw these I couldn’t not order them.

I hung them in my spare room.  Each picture including print, matting and frame was under $20.  I love etsy!!!!

We did a little bit of shopping this weekend.  Mostly for C.  But I picked up a couple things I’ve been wanting.

I also got this cute faux leather jacket from Macy’s but of course they don’t have it online.  Just take my word it’s super cute! I also bught some yummy smelling candles from bath and body works.  Yay! Our house smells good now

I have an etsy question.  It’s so important that it warrants a whole post all to itself.

See, I have this purse.  I bought it for $20 at this store in the mall.  I love it but it’s falling apart.  I want something like it and I spent some time looking on etsy yesterday but nothing really caught my eye as a suitable replacement.

My question is do you know anyone on etsy that would make me a custom purse.  It’s over the shoulder/cross body (you know like a mini messenger I guess).

I’d really like any suggestions that you have.  I’m desperate!!

Ok first, it is fucking beautiful out today.  Do I have to use the F word?  Why, yes I do.  Because two weeks ago it was snowing and today it’s 80.  Yesterday morning it was 32 degrees and the high of the day was 62.  That’s 30 degrees in a matter of hours.  Oh, Michigan.

On to my shopping tip.  Did you know that you can get price  adjustments if you items go on sale in a certain amount of time?  I saved  $25 dollars today because last week I grabbed the wrong size and I needed to exchange.  I was super excited.  We also had to go to Lowe’s because when we bought our grill we forgot our 10% off coupon.  So we got another $39 back.  Weeeeee and right before Florida.

Well I hope you all have a fabulous weekend.  I’m taking my laptop but I’m not sure how much I’ll be on it.  Well that’s a lie, if I get bored while C is at his hockey games I’ll probably check in

I am not in work mode at all.  I’ve waded thru my inbox and I accomplished some work stuff thoug, woo!  I’m not ready to post pics yet, I know I’m sorry, but I will tell you the majority of what we did in Chicago was walked (miles and miles), shopped and ate.

I’m not a huge shopper but it’s hard when you are walking down the Mag Mile and all these pretty things are in the window.  I didn’t buy anything that I couldn’t buy at home though, which was a bummer, but they were things I wouldn’t have slurged on at home, ya know what I mean?  C did the majority of buying, which surprised me!

I went into Sephora for the first time *gasp* I know!  That store is pretty frickin awesome! I really liked the girl that was helping us too.  I don’t wear makeup really, just eyeliner and mascara but she put  Stila Tinted Moisturizer on me and I was hooked. It’s not something I’ll wear daily (I’m too lazy) but I like feeling like a model sometimes I also needed a cheek color for special occasions and this looked pretty on, plum radiance, didn’t know it was $24 til I bought it though lol.

C bought me Ed Hardy’s new perfume and Ugg sandals, I never thought I’d buy Ugg anything but these sandals are soooooo comfy and I’ll wear them all summer.

I also bought a $10 Obama shirt at Urban Outfitters and a shirt from Forever 21.

I’ve told you guys that I’m an introvert.  We got into Chicago on Saturday and went window shopping.  I went into some stores …ahem Forever 21…and almost had a panic attack because there were so many people.  I didn’t buy anything on Saturday because I couldn’t stand to be in the junior/women’s sections, there were just too many crazy people.  So I helped C shop, which is probably why he ended up with some really cool shit.  Sunday and Monday were much better shopping days for me hehe

Since I can’t have what I really want, I’ve been shopping on Etsy.  Damn, there are a lot of creative people out there.

I pretty much need someone to dress me on a daily basis.  Since this isn’t going to happen (I’m like an Asian Barbie, if anyone would like to dress me haha), I end up in jeans, thermals and tennis shoes.  But once in awhile I see something that might actually be called trendy and I WANT it.   Thanks to Julie at Wearing Mascara I found myself at shopbop.com staring at these:
