Happy Veteran’s Day! And a huge thank you to all that have served.
Do you guys realize that the holidays are seriously almost here?! Christmas is 6 weeks from Friday! It’s amazing how it creeps up out of nowhere. One minute I’m depressed because it’s October and then all of a sudden I’m counting down to Christmas!
I asked for Dawson’s Creek and Gilmore Girls dvds. If I get them I know what I will be doing the week I have off from work. I kind of can’t wait to make cookies for my family. I’m also excited for the way we are planning on spending the holidays. Though C and I won’t be together for Christmas Eve, I’m hoping Christmas Day with just the 2 of us and our dogs will make up for it.
I’ve talked about our Man Shack that we had built this summer and I keep telling you that I’ll post pictures but I haven’t yet. I know, bad blogger. But I’m going to make up for it right now.

The next order of business is the custom purse I had made. I wrote a post asking for suggestions on etsy sellers that could do this. The first response was a recommendation for Backstitched. All I have to say is she was wonderful to work with! She let me pick fabric and asked lots of questions. The end result was a purse I absolutely adore. It’s a mini messenger bag. I love having a purse that I don’t have to carry. It’s made so much better than my previous purse I bought at the mall. I know it’s going to withstand the shoving it into my work bag and all the crap I load into it. The best part is that it was only $28. I’m in love. If you are thinking about getting a custom purse made I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Kimberly at Backstitched!
Sorry for the crappy phone picture. If you look closely you can see my cherry converse shoes
