UPDATE: At about 8:45am my day turned to shit and has not started to look up yet. I can’t wait to go home to C and my crockpot full of pot roast and veg out. I’m sick of people P!

It is beautiful today and it’s only 8:30am. I woke up a nervous bundle hoping the roads weren’t too bad. But when the alarm went off and the traffic (which usually scares the hell out of me) came on and said the roads were quiet I jumped up with joy, scaring the dogs. Yeah that was a lie I was the last one up as usual this morning and the dogs were munching happily on their breakfast in the kitchen. But I did get excited and double checked with C to make sure I wasn’t delusional and hearing things. But it gets better…today is Friday and because Michigan is playing Ohio State in basketball I get to wear my U of M hooded sweatshirt to work. OMG I get to wear jeans, tennis shoes and a hooded sweatshirt and the roads are clear and dry? Shit this has to be a good day.

I get to work and check my mail and more good news. Balto, a black lab & newfoundland mix got away from his new owner the day he was adopted and was considered lost on January 25th. I was worried for him, it was cold and he is a nervous and shy dog and poor L, the shelter’s animal behaviorist was his foster mom. She sent an email saying that yesterday she received the phone call that Balto was safe in Brighton…How did he get there when he was lost in Detroit?! But he is found and that is the most important thing. L is going to pick him up this morning! Also in my email, I found out that 2 of the dogs that I had become close to have gotten adopted!

Now, if the people that are dumb could just leave me alone today it would be glorious! I don’t want anyone ruining my Disney day (you know happy birds chirping kind of day) DAMNIT!

Oh PS…be jealous I made pot roast for tonight and my mouth is watering for it!
