Driving home from Cheli’s:

Me: So that’s five houses we’ve lost

C♥: Yep, that’s what we do, that’s how we roll…

Me: Great…

I don’t think this is too much to ask for:

• a decent sized backyard (for 2 large dogs and 1 lap dog)
• 3 bedrooms
• 1.5+ bathrooms
• over 1000 sq feet
• basement (finished or not, just have one!)
• 2 car garage (so I have somewhere to stash C♥ when he’s getting on my nerves hehe)
• no wierd/hillbilly neighbors
• not on the corner of a main road/on the corner with the garage facing the side street (C♥’s request)

The answer: No

But! Would you believe you have to be quick about it? When you find a house you like make an offer! We’ve “lost” 4 houses in the span of 2 months. OMG. It’s frustrating and irritating. Yes the housing market sucks, people are getting evicted. Some leave quietly, others destroy everything (punching holes in walls and possibly peeing in them cuz phew it smelled BAD in there). Our price range is modest so I think other first time buyers and also those looking to buy houses and rent them out, are getting there first. Sonofabitch!

It’s hard not to get to attached to a house you can see building a life/memories in. But we are trying really Really REALLY hard. Usually one of us is good at it and the other one gets wrapped up. I guess that’s how we even out.
