True to my word, things that are making me happy…

• † C feeling ok enough to go our for a little while on Saturday night (with a little prodding from my dad), so I’m working on some last minute costumes.
• † LP and her boyfriend coming to hang out on Saturday too
• † Datsyuk scoring the game winning  goal (with 11.4 seconds left in the game!) against the goon Anaheim Ducks in Saturday’s game

• † This warm fall weather
• † My new boyfriend

  

• † Buying 5 pumpkins and finding designs to carve into them
• † Consignment shopping! I found some really awesome finds at the place near our cottage
• † Making an appointment to get my hair cut and colored
• † Smushy faced puppy dog and spoiled labrador
  

  

• † Clear sky, full moon and Lake Huron – Gorgeous

I hate to say that Fall is officially here, but dang, it’s chilly out there.  The only good thing about it is that I am now constantly wearing the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned.  It’s like walking barefoot, for realz.  (I’m not in any way being compensated for saying that, but if Sanuk wants to give me a free pair, I’d be all for that)

I might have gotten caught taken a picture of my feet on my desk…

I feel like I’ve had so much going on lately and no time to talk about all the fun I’ve been having.

Eminem/Jay-Z

Even though there was drama concerning the douchebags sitting next to us I had an amazing time with Jenni, Mal and Jessica.  So much so that I was thinking about the concert for days after.  Thoughts of how hot Eminem is and just the general amazingness

Holla

Drake, 50 Cent, D12, Trick Trick and some others showed up. I might have been a little hysterical when Dr Dre made a surprise visit. I may or may not have hurt Jenni by grabbing onto her arm, screaming and jumping up and down. I’m not too proud to admit it.

Wedding

A friend of my friends, that are more like my sisters, got married. We didn’t stay all that long because we were getting up at 4:30am the next morning to start our long Labor Day weekend.

The LONG weekend up north

We got up at 4:30am and drove up to the cottage. I slept a little bit while C drank all of my coffee. We spent the majority of the weekend inside because it was chilly. I finished two books, we got some little projects done, watched Scrubs and Definitely, Maybe. We did enjoy the sun when it did come out periodically by taking walks on the beach. We also got one big project done on Tuesday, our last day up there. It was sunny but WINDY.

Besides all that I spent the rest of the days eating everything in sight. We bought the best food to take up there. Our dogs were their usual pathetic selves and after the first day or two Scooby was suicidal.

When is the last time you laughed like this?

Thanks to these two ladies: Jenni & LP,

I almost died from laughter.  Best way to die, just fyi.

There were a couple crazy nights at the local bar.  One night included a creepy guy that wouldn’t leave poor Jenni alone.  But she’s hot and awesome so I guess I can’t blame him.  But dang…he was gross.  We are all Beaver Certified. If you care to know, it’s called a beaver for two reasons: It has fur & because it eats wood.

The tubing adventure was all about A LOT of beer, new friends, Jenni getting stuck in the tube and no one actually helping untangle her, branches smacking people me in the head, Jenni getting a bruise from her awesome waterproof box, jello-jars, sex talk and most of all FUN.

There was a lot of noming and cheek kissing going on

I have a lot of likes right now so here we go:

• † I like, love more accurately, spending time with some of my favorite bloggers friends: Sarah, Mandy, Jenni, Supergirl.  I like it even more that we shared pain relaxed at Yin Yoga and then chilled with wine on Sarah’s awesome deck with her homemade Pita bread and pasta salad.  ps – your house is so cute, I love the colors! And I also ♥ Slayer!
• † I like bike rides – especially when they involve touring Southwest Detroit with Jenni and Mallory.  I could have done without the helmets though.  Knock 3 times!
• † I like that I got my bracelet I bought from TheShagBag on Etsy
• † I like sparring and getting 2 headshots on my Dad last night. 4 points!  He was surprised the first time and stunned the next.  They were pretty shots too.  He gave me a hug afterward and told me, “It’s about time.”
• † I like that I get to hang out with The Watson.  She always makes me laugh so hard.  Whenever we hang out I always feel a billion times lighter.  I just hope I don’t forget my credit card at the restaurant again.
• † I like having friends that have turned into sisters because I don’t have worry about losing our friendship, I know she will be there no matter what.
• † I like that I’m designing my next tattoo!

Some birthdays are more memorable than others. This year my birthday started a full 4 days beforehand and was one that I will always remember.

Though a d-bag co-worker told me that I’m not living my life as a 20-something, as I’m not having enough fun.  He says that I’m more of a 30-40 year old.  What?!

And a more positive story… at taekwondo we got 2 new students.  One being a 20 year old guy (“21 in a couple days” *pumps fist).  I didn’t talk much to him but another student asked where he was going to college and he asked us both where we went. I replied WSU but I had graduated.  He’s congratulated me thinking I had just graduated.  I smiled and thanked him and told him I had been out of college for 5 years now.  His eyes might have bugged out of his head.  He didn’t think I was a day over 23.  Woot! I won’t even tell you I got carded for tobacco 2 weekends ago…

Now, on to the birthday fun with pictures…

Thursday - Fondue and major fun with the best girls ever!

Friday – Yin Yoga (also including Sarah &  Mandy), Pizza, Rum Cake and Wii action with LP

Saturday – Sex in the City 2 (hated…go ahead be mad at me), Lunch at PF Changs, Kohl’s BBQ, Quiet Time and 4 Hours of Dawson’s Creek = WIN!

wtf? i know this is cute on the runway but i don't know about real life...

Sunday – Lunch with the gorgeous Jenni, who had the on the cutest dress, at Slow’s BBQ.  OMG Slows is freakin’ delicious.  My mouth waters just thinking about it.   Jenni gave me film for the birthday present I ordered that was from C.  (why no picture?!)

Lazy Sunday with C when he got back from his guys weekend.  We got hooked on Rescue Me. Thank you Netflix

Monday – Work, Lots of Lovely Birthday Wishes, Lunch with Coworkers, Taekwondo, Dinner with C (who got me the best card ever A little schmoop with sarcastic humor) and my camera!

I’m in serious love with this little camera. It is so much fun!

6. Organize the cupboards (boring yes, but it NEEDS to get done)
7. Send out cards <— I’m really horrible at this but I want to get better because I want people to know I care and that I do remember

9. Go through my closet and get rid of the things I don’t wear
10. Sell something on eBay
11. Cedar Point!
12. Use the iron on decals I bought last year
13. Stain the man shack
14. Wakeboard
15. Something special for LP’s 30th & C’s 35th birthdays
16. Get another tattoo
17. Visit Michelle again
18. Take my aunts to lunch
19. Send out more snail mail <– If you want to receive snail mail email me your address
20. Teach Scooby to roll over
21. Create a fun tradition in January so the month doesn’t seem so long
22. Take a class
23. Take time to meditate weekly
24. Learn to sew
25. Doggie playdates
26. Perform in the aerial yoga student showcase
27. Finish one of the many scrapbooks I started
28. Make Thai food at home

It’s going to be a great year, I can feel it!

A short list of things that happened today that make me love C♥:

• He covers Scooby up with a blanket before he leaves for work
• He meets the realtor to check out houses so I only have to look at ones that are a ‘maybe’
• He deals most with our realtor unless it’s by email
• He remembers to tell the realtor I have to  stop at the library before I can meet her
• He listens to my concerns about my tires exploding and pretends to care
• He feeds the dogs before I get home so I don’t have to
