30 day shred, level 2

I’m not as badass as Kat.  I put in level 2 today and I feel comfortable that I will probably do this one for about a week.  It was a little harder that the first level, as it should be.  I like the ab and cardio circuits better in this one.  It’s funny because a couple of the moves she does  we do at tae kwon do.    I also broke more of a sweat.

Jillian gets on my nerves.  A lot of the time I just want to tell her to shut the fuck up and just let me workout.  That’s just me though.

This was a good preworkout before my run later.

UPDATE: So the only thing a little bit sore are my quads.  Maybe I do need to try level 3?  My abs and arms aren’t sore at all.  I feel like I work those muscles more during the week kicking bags…hmmmmmmmmmmm

30 day shred, level one

Quick notes. I just finished Jillian Michael’s Level One from the 30 Day Shred. I don’t watch the Biggest Loser but I’ve been hearing a lot about this workout. When I read about it I was like cool I need something that’s only 30 minutes on the days I don’t go to Tae Kwon Do. I borrowed it from a co-worker to try before I bought it.

  • It is a good little workout for the days I’m not at tkd. However, I think to look like the girls in the dvd, um you are going to need to do more than just this 30 minute workout.
  • I suck at lifting weights. I’ve never liked it. I used 5lb weights and I think if I had 2.5lbs weights it would have been better for me. The truth is my arms are toned from jabs, push ups and punches and I would take doing those for an hour over using weights. I think it’s a complete myth that you have to lift weights to get tone arms.
  • I could have used another 30 minutes of cardio after doing this workout. When she was like we’re almost done I was like what?!
  • I could also use more ab work.

Before you leave me not nice comments I think it’s great that you are working out. But I train 3 days a week for 2 hours at a Dojo. I workout more than the average person. In 3 years I have built up stamina.

The next time I put this dvd in I’m going to try level 2.
