Thank you Mel at themelodramatic.  She has assigned me the letter T, much easier than her letter O.  WTF am I talking about, you ask?  Well here are the rules:

1. Tae Kwon Do: it keeps me grounded, centered, healthy and strong.
2. Traveling: I love seeing things for the first time.  I find different cultures, even those of different states, interesting.  I don’t mind flying and am amazed when I can be in two different places in the same day. (I’m a dork I know)
3. Tennis: I loved playing tennis in high school and I still play occasionally with C.  I’m not great but I can hold my own on the court
4. Tennis shoes: I love to be comfortable.  I only wear heels on special occasions.  All other times you will find me wearing comfy tennis shoes.
5. Technology: I’m addicted to the internet.  I’m amazed at all the new things that emerge daily, how social networking exploded and how easy it is to find and reconnect with people (for better or for worse).
6. Tea: There is nothing like curling up in the chair with a good book and a cup of tea.  Don’t get me wrong I love me some coffee but tea is a whole other experience.   Not to mention the health benefits and 0 calories
7. Thermals & T-shirts: Again comfort.  It’s pretty easy for me to get dressed in the morning.
8. Teeth: I love my teeth.  I hope nothing ever happens to them because I am thoroughly grossed out by pulling teeth, drilling teeth, broken teeth, missing teeth, you get the picture right?
9. Toffee: I love me some toffee.  Or any candy for that matter.
10. Texting: I do it way too much and I love it because it means I don’t have to call anyone.

Wow what a waste of a day.  I wish I had something to write about.  Anything.

Oh ok I have a little story:

Yesterday I got a text message from C of a picture of a bug (yes a bug) that said ‘baby roach?’  (He works in a warehouse so this isn’t uncommon)

c (texting): should I kill it?

me (texting): um i dunno i hate killing things

c (texting): yeah me too, i put him in the garbage

A little while later C called to ask me something non-related to the bug.

And then he says, “I felt bad putting it in the trash so I took him out and put it by the wall, but it’s back where I found it.”

I laugh.

Today C calls me and says, “I accidentally stepped on the bug”

Me: All of that and you end up smashing him anyway?

It’s not as funny as it was earlier.  Shit. Well that’s all I have.

Well, I do have a new profile pic here on my profile, twitter and my 20somethings page.  I know exciting stuff huh?

I miss you today.  The snow has covered up the grass and the water of the lakes looks morose and gray, not inviting and blue.  Not like yesterday’s past.

Life goes on.  Time doesn’t stop.  Just know I’m thinking of you today.

I slept a lot last night.  Nearly 10 hours.  It was awesome! In those hours I had a strange dream that I remembered when I woke up and pondered it while I drove to work this morning.  The content wasn’t all that strange, it was more the concept of the dream.

There was this couple (who I sorta know IRL) and they were arguing.  At one point I was in the next room over trying not to eavesdrop and packing a suitcase.  Every once in awhile I would “drift” over into the other room.  I touched the guy on the shoulder and he lost a little bit of his anger.  Another time in this “house” they were arguing and I would hear them and try to block it out but then all of a sudden be in the room patting him on the shoulder or muttering words about how she was kind of acting like a major bitch and why he put up with that.  No, I wasn’t a ghost.  I was…are you ready for this…a thought.   I was in the dream because someone was thinking about me.  I had a dream about being someone else’s thought.

Is that not a little on the weird side?

Hopefully this evening it won’t be too cloudy to see the crescent moon.  According to this article, the moon will only be illuminated by 15% and is in a rare alignment with Jupiter and Venus.  So if you happen to look up and see the moon, those 2 brightly lit “stars” are really planets.

Cool huh?  I used to want to be an astronaut when I was little. 

Damn it.  Having 4 days off is fucking glorious.  It seems to go on forever and then all of a sudden you sit down and you think ’shit, i have to go to work tomorrow’.  This fucking sucks.

*sigh

Anyhow, we went snowboarding again today.  It is expensive but you know what you only live once and it’s only pleasant snowboarding weather for a short period of time.  Soon it will be freezing with a windchill in the teens or below.  So I’m justifying spending the money.

I was sad today, my little friends weren’t there making their ramps so no jumps for me.  It was so cute on Friday, I came down the hill and stopped to watch C make the jump and then I chickened out.   The young boys were sitting next to it fixing it and they were asking me if I was going to go.  I get nervous when people watch me so I skipped it.  They were like ‘oh you should have did it your good.  it’s easy!’.  It made me feel good.  I know they were like 10 but I’ll take all the confidence I can gather ;)  (I did hit the jump my next time down)

I worked on carving again today.  I’m getting better too!  All of a sudden it started snowing like mad crazy.  So we didn’t stay as long as we would have liked because we had driven the Lincoln.  (oh the Lincoln, if I was completely anonymous I’d tell you why we have the Lincoln)  It’s rear wheel drive and v8.  I gripped the door handle the whole hour it took us to get home.  Trying not to think of spinning out and hitting anything in the way.

Is everyone ready to go back to the daily grind tomorrow?

I ordered my first Christmas present!  You don’t know what a huge step this is.  Maybe I’ll write about it later but my first present is for my dad and I ordered it from HSN.  LOL.  I was flipping channels when I stopped on HSN, they had this knive set and I was thinking ‘hey that’s kind of cool’ pause, ‘hey i should get that for my dad’.  So  I called C in there and he was like you should order us one too.  Hehe so I did.  I felt like a little old lady shopping from my bed (it was 11pm and I was reading and flipping stations lol)

I forgot how much I love snowboarding.  We went to Alpine Valley today and spent 5 hours on the slopes.  For the most part snowboarding is like riding a bike.  I still have a teensy weensy problem with my front edge but I jumped a snow ramp not once but 3 times.  I fell all 3 times but damn it I did it and it felt awesome.

So I’m a little sore already but it’s that good feeling.  One I haven’t felt from snowboarding in 2 years.  It was awesome to get back out there.  Hope you had a happy friday!
