& that’s the way life goes

Disclaimer: I am afraid I won’t be able to think of 30 things but at least I can say I tried. (And if I can’t think of 30 things my life is shitty) Also, this list is in no particular order.

1. I’m an only child. This does NOT mean I’m spoiled, but I expect a lot of attention. But that does NOT mean I like to be the center of attention. (got that?)
2. I truly enjoy daydreaming and reminiscing. If I have a glazed look in my eye please DO NOT DISTURB, I’m probably living my more adventurous life in my mind. Interrupting can be hazardous to your health.
3. I was a quiet child, I went to karate class once and refused to go back because of the yelling.
4. I still don’t like the yelling in Tae Kwon Do but I only shout when I test and I’ve learned to tune out other peoples shouts. (My dad is convinced it makes you breathe better, I think he’s full of shit, I breath just fine)
5. It’s an ongoing joke at work that I’m a Cracker. My response is I can’t be a Cracker because I’m not exactly White (I’m 5/8 Filipino). Which is always retorted with “But you’re Irish” (my great granny was Irish so that makes me about 1/8 )
6. I am now officially a certified dog trainer, but my dog’s are kind of bad because I put up with what most owners wouldn’t. (Haha I kid, they are pretty well-behaved)
7. I graduated with honors from high school. I got to wear the cool gold ropes around my neck. What’s even better the year we graduated someone fainted because it was the fucking hottest day of the year (maybe not the hottest but close)!
8. I try to pretend I’m not a romantic, but underneath my sarcasm is a fairy princess waiting to be swept away.  (shhhhh don’t tell)
9. College is mostly a blur because I had an asshole boyfriend who wasted my time and I was too naive to get rid of him.
10. I lost my mom when I was 21 and I’m still trying to recover. I don’t really think it’s ever going to happen. I’ll be fractured for the rest of my life.
11. I am constantly re-evaluating my life
12. I have a very short attention span.
13. Nani and Liko get their names from the Hawaiian Language. I think in a past life I lived there.  I might have also been a 1920’s flapper.
14. Scooby’s original names on his adoption paperwork was Hank and then Scout. The lady at the Pet Expo thought he looked like Scooby Doo too so we changed his name. He will still answer to Hank.
15. The thing I want to do most with my dogs is take them hiking.  Like every weekend in the summer.
16. I try to just live life and not take myself to seriously.
17. I have an annoying habit of snapping my gum, I got it from my Mom.
18. I have all my own hockey gear and I played for the first time in Tampa, Florida.
19. I snowboard, wakeboard and recently tried surfing when we were in Kauai.
20. The whole time I was on the surfboard I was thinking about sharks.
21. I think that I am creative, but my fear of failure hinders my creativity.
22. I once got wasted at work with one of the bosses and some other employees and passed out under a desk. Skipped class and got woken up at 6pm to exit the building.
23. Irish Cailin and I drove 3.5 hours up north after leaving a homecoming game to visit our friends, only to drive the 3.5 hours back 3 hours later.
24. I’ve smashed 2 cars so far.
25. I’m terrified of things exploding, eating bad food and puking.
26. I get my most creative ideas right before I fall asleep (I’m lucky I usually remember them).
27. My tkd forms look best early in the morning when I’m half asleep because I’m most relaxed.
28. I enjoy using ellipsis and repeating words 3 times (ex. hate Hate HATE)
29. I can count my closest friends on one hand.
30. I have been told by my mom’s friends that I occasionally blurt out something the way she used to say it and I can’t help but grin.
