Happy New Year!
Mmmmk, now that that is out of the way, if you are looking for my new years resolutions you aren’t going to find them here. I never keep them so I stopped making them sometime when I was in high school.

I had the past 10 days off from work and pretty much from social engagements. Christmas was spent in my pjs playing Wii with C and having my dad come over for ham, which I forgot to put in the oven. Luckily it was from Honey Baked and didn’t take too long to heat up.
I caught up on sleep and spent last Monday through Wednesday while C had to work waking up at 10am, turning on the radio for background noise and staying in my pjs until 4pm. I have no idea what else I did besides that. It was quiet and that’s all that matters.
I did meet most of V3M on Tuesday night. That was ridiculously out of hand and tons of fun. There might have been more drinking then was planned and I might have woken up with a mini hangover on Wednesday.
New Year’s Eve was lower than low key. C and I went to the DIA during the day and then hunkered down at the house playing Wii and watching the Wings beat Colorado! W00T!
January is a really rough month. It’s snowy, cold and icy. So here is a list of things I’m looking forward to:
- Meeting up with Mandy and Sarah
- Starting aerial yoga
- Mitten Blogger Meetup
- Testing for my 1st degree blackbelt
- Joining netflix
- Getting my online order from Pacsun and Folica (yes I spent an obscene amount of money on a flat iron…shhhh)

*And thank you for your concern about C. He got the results of his CT scan. He has a compressed disc in his neck. He will be starting physical therapy as soon as our new insurance and his records are all in order.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t make resolutions!
I am a little curious about how you plan to test your black belt? Does this mean some scheduled and planned event or is it more of a wait in a dark alley for someone to attack you and then show em what you’ve got.
I’m really hoping it’s the former even though the latter would make for a better blog post, I’d be concerned about your health (both mental and physical).
I’m so glad that C is going to be okay!!!
Oh and good luck with your black belt test! Way to go! Otherwise your holidays seem like they were pretty ideal!

Looks like you’ve got a lot to look forward to in this upcoming month – which is awesome! I hate these next couple months because of the cold, so I always have to remind myself of the happy thing to get by.
