I have hit the low point.  The one thing that now makes me an adult.

I’ve been fearing this day.

I can take that I like to be in bed by 10 on weekdays and asleep by 11.

I accept that I can’t take multiple swigs from vodka and whiskey bottles without wanting to gag and that stumbling around will lead to a bad morning.

I am responsible and have a 8-5 job.

It’s ok for the most part that girls’ weekends are few and far between.

What I can’t take is that…

I can no longer drink coffee at 8pm at night and still be able to sleep.

I met JP for dinner last night and since we were still chatting I ordered a coffee with Bailey’s and Kahlua in it.  (YUM!)  Not thinking anything of it.  Neither coffee or pop keeps me up.  (or so I thought)

I slept maybe 4 hours last night and it was not all at the same time.  It was HORRIBLE.

I don’t wanna be an adult.

My bestie and I used to go out for coffee at a little diner near our houses. We would stay and drink atleast 1 1/2 of coffee until the wee hours. It was just last year that I realized that I can no longer do that… even with decaf!! Yes, it really does suck getting older!

HaHa, this is a hilarious post. I’m not a coffee drinker so I don’t know how this works, however, I do feel you on the rest of your post. I do not want to grow up anymore. If I could just stay in my mid-20′s forever, I would be fine with that. I have a younger brother that is 16 right now and just dying to be an “adult”. I keep trying to explain to him that adulthood is not as great as we all guessed it would be. Responsibility, work, early alarm clocks, lots of stress, laundry…

You’re actually lucky that you’ve been able to drink coffee past 3PM till now and not get insomnia. Doctor’s studies show that most adults over 20ish have issues sleeping if they ingest caffeine after 3PM…

So, I wouldn’t attribute it too much to becoming adult so much as your metabolism as a woman changing…

LESSON LEARNED! :)

Too funny! You really know you’re an adult when…

I haven’t hit that point yet, and it will be a very sad day when I do :)

I’m so glad I’m a few years away from that yet, I love me some Diet Pepsi at any time of day.
