I’m annoyed at myself.  I have seriously 10 drafts just sitting there but I have no desire to finish or post them.  At least not right now.

I have a lot of thoughts running through my head but I can’t seem to get anything out in writing.  I guess this is what they call writer’s block?  I’m going to blame it on hitting myself in the head with the Nunchaku last night.  Yes I said Nunchaku.  And no I’m not talking about the Wii.

Mine look like this because I’m a beginner and will hit myself in the head, face, wherever.  Even when they allow me to graduate to wood ones I’ll probably still rough myself up a bit.

because Im a beginner and will hit myself in the head, face, wherever lol

I can’t remember if I told you that I hurt my ankle 3 weeks ago or if I just whined about it on twitter.  But I’m telling you now.  I was doing jump kicks on the bag and I landed sideways on my ankle.  I hopped around on one foot for a minute before gripping my ankle on the floor and laying down because I wanted to throw up.  That luckily only lasted a minute and I was preoccupied by my Dad wanting to touch my ankle.  Really?! It hurts I don’t want you to be touching it!  But it didn’t swell so we tapped it up and proceeded with class.  Yes I know it was probably dumb but I’ve always tried to play through the pain.

Anyhow it swelled that night and the next day and it’s pretty under control now (though not 100%).  I’m going to have to tape my ankle every time I get on the mat at tae kwon do now.  FAIL.   Anyone know good ankle strengthening exercises?

I”m still wearing  a compression bandage during the day.   So once a week I take a break from the kicking (I’m still not back to kicking the bag…insert pouty face) I’ve taken up nunchaku.  And I actually like it (well besides hitting myself in the head).

Oh and one last TKD note.   I totally kicked someone in the head last Friday!  YAY!  I realize this sounds bad and to be truthful he kicked me twice in the head before I got him back.  I went to another school with my dad and there were other people I didn’t know to spar with.  I’m going to tell you a secret.  It’s really hard to spar with your Dad.  He may be my Instructor but he’s still my dad and this makes me (usually) not want to kick him in the head.  Mind you, he has no problem kicking me in the head (or face for that matter).  So I got to spar with people I don’t really know and that makes it easier to smack’em in the face with your foot.  I’m just sayin’.

I wish I’d just get my ass in gear to LEARN some of that. But the punching bag scares me.

I hope your ankle heels super quick.
