ringsOk, next Monday is mine and C’s first wedding anniversary. Aww right? Apparently there is some traditional gifts paper or a clock. I’m so clueless. I don’t know how traditional I am. I read something about buying him a tree…haha ok seriously I need help.

I have no problem getting something little to represent the “traditional” first year gifts. But I’d also like to find something that he’d love but wouldn’t buy for himself. Here’s the thing, I have no idea what that is. Neither one of us is great with gifts. I try to think about what he likes and he’s so difficult!

How do you figure out what the perfect gift would be for someone?

aw how exciting that it’s almost your first year together (well as a married couple). as for the perfect gift..i usually try to stick to things my boyfriend really likes (like sports, cars, cooking, etc). you could get your husband a class to do something he likes maybe? just a thought, good luck! :)

i’m a really bad person to give gift buying advice. my gifts start fights. so i will just leave a pity post and let you know i feel for you.

Congratulations on the upcoming anniversary!

I’m also terrible at finding the right gift. I like Katelin’s suggestion above, though.

Yea for 1 year! Um… I dont think either of you are very traditional… so i wouldn’t worry about the paper or clock thing…just get something you know he’ll like, or spend the money on both of you by doing something special that you don’t normally do together. good luck!

Congrats on the anniversary! And I haaate getting gifts for people because I’m the nut who wants to get the PERFECT gift. I just pick up on things they mention alot or dont even mention alot, but have mentioned wanting to have it. For example, I bought my friend a computer bag/professional looking bag that she could take with her to interviews and new jobs etc. She loved it and didn’t realize anyone would’ve picked up on that. So there’s my hint as to how I go about things. :) Good luck. Oh and I like redenvelope.com for gifts you can personalize

I think Etsy.com has fun and cute stuff too. You have to make sure to let us all know what the final decision was!!

I have *no* idea. :) I’m pretty clueless when it comes to gifts myself, mostly for men though. Girls are easier. lol Good luck though and let us know what you decide!
