That faint scent of grandma that you smell…yeah that’s me.
The icy hot that I’ve put on my foot is starting to wear off. It’s got an array of colors, ranging from black to blue to purple to yellow to green. It really is a work of art with a bit of swollen ankle for good measure. Each day it’s gets a little bit more colorful. I’m proud of it though, and if I wasn’t at work I would take a picture to share with you. Well it’s really not the at work part that is stopping me, we have a great camera, it’s more of the ‘I hate feet’ thing. I kind of think they are the most disgusting part of the body. But the more I injury them, the more I appreciate them, so I guess it’s a love/hate situation.
Ok moving on…
So the kidney walk at the zoo on Sunday was a blast. Probably the best time I’ve had at the zoo in a long time. Part of it was that the animals were quite active, the tiger playing with his gigantic ball and a kangaroo laying in the middle of the foot path.

The other part was the company I was with. AG brought her beautiful, 2-yr-old daughter M. I love that little girl, she is always so good when I see her. She is a very intuitive and bright child. It also helps that she wanted to spend a lot of the day with C and I. She would run up to us and hug our legs and grab our hands.

Seriously, how can your heart not melt? I think Irish Cailin put it best, being with M at the zoo let us see it from a child’s perspective. Perfect.
