I was in high school, I think it was. You know when Elmo became really popular? The tickle me Elmo dolls and all that shit? Well my Mom and I saw an episode of Sesame Street or something (why? I have no idea) but Elmo was really fucking hyperactive and annoying and he had new shoes. Throughout his whole what? 2 minutes on the screen all he kept saying was “Elmo got new choose” (you know the word shoes in that high pitched baby voice?)
So my Mom being who she was, would hysterically laugh and say this when I got new shoes.
“Ria got new choose, ria got new choose, ria got new choose”
Well in fact I did get new shoes for Christmas from C’s dad. His sister picked them out and damn she picked’um out good.
